Macondo Development is Andrew Mottershead. I'm a creative freelance web designer and developer from Manchester, UK but spend most of my time coding from wherever my laptop is. Working with small to medium sized businesses I like to design and build engaging, user-friendly, affordable, responsive websites that not only look the part but are functional too.
Designing for both businesses and individuals I specialise in creating bespoke websites at competitive prices. Working closely with a network of digital professionals I am able to deliver a whole range of web design services, enabling your business to achieve an effective online presence you can be proud of.
Tested across modern browsers and mobile devices all of my designs are fully responsive and SEO friendly, ensuring an improved user experience.
Away from work
Born with a love of travelling, and exploring, I lived in Chile for eight years and am currently based in India.
I am interested in sustainability, off grid living, permaculture, science, astronomy, music. I play guitar and surf when I can. I post on Twitter now and then.
Macondo is a fictional town described in Gabriel García Márquez's novel, One Hundred Years of Solitude. I read this book a few years ago when I was living in Chile. It is full of colour, painted houses and slightly crazy yet creative people. I fell in love with the place in the book and it has been an inspiration for me ever since.
